What are Double-hung windows?
Double-hung windows have two sashes that operate independently from each other. This means that you can open either the top or bottom of the window.
How are double-hung windows different from single-hung windows?
Both single hung and double hung windows have window sashes that slide vertically. On single hung windows, only the bottom sash can slide, while the top sash is fixed and static. On double hung windows, both sashes can slide as desired.
